GirlGuiding New Zealand
Guides New Zealand is the national Guiding organisation in New Zealand. Founded in 1908, the girls-only organization became a full member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in 1928. It has 20,562 members (as of 2003).
Levels
Pippins
Pippins is for 5 and 6 year old girls. It offers an informal programme, designed to develop awareness of oneself, others and the environment. The mascot of the Pippins is an apple. [1]
Brownies
Brownies is for girls between 7 and 10 years old. The Brownie mascot is a yellow sun with a smiling face.[2]
Guides
Guides is for girls between 10 and 14 years old. The Guides mascot is a cartoon human girl called Gidget.[3][4]
Rangers
Rangers are girls between ages 14 and 18. A cartoon human girl named Woozle is the Rangers' mascot.[5]
