I was born in Sheffield, England, but now live in Melbourne, Australia. I have been interested in Scouting for 60 years, although I have not been a leader for nearly 40 years. My last warranted position was Assistant District Commissioner (Leader Training) in 1970 in Lancaster, England. I was earlier a Scout Leader and a Rover Scout Leader in UK. I was awarded both the Scout and the Rover Wood Badge. I was Treasurer on a Group Committee for most of the 1990s in the Northern Territory of Australia, just south of Darwin. I am active on the English Wikipedia in the Scout WikiProject where I coordinate mediation if needed, in addition to writing articles. I am also an administrator on the English Wikiedia.
I plan to expand the entries on Australia by copying articles from wikipedia (all State articles and section articles done), and then move on to copy over all the County/Area articles for the UK. I will also look at Scout articles for countries in Oceania, such as New Zealand and Papua New Guinea (where I once lived).
