Gilwell Park in the UK has become renowned as a Scouting training centre. As such, the name has been taken over worldwide by other Scouting venues, such as campsites, groups and training centres.


Many training centres around the world name the field used for Wood Badge training, the Gilwell Field.

The founder, Robert Baden-Powell, 1st Baron Baden-Powell on being elevated to the British peerage, took Gilwell as part of his title.
