(David) Michael Baden-Powell (born, 11 December 1940 - died 3 juli 2023) was the 4th Baron of Gilwell. Scouting was literally in his blood cause he was the grandson of Robert Baden-Powell. After his death, his son David Robert inherited the titel.

Scouting

He was an active member of the Victoria branch of the Scouts Australia. In 2007 he was very active in bringing back the once sold Rolls-Royce and the accompanying caravan that Robert Baden-Powel had received during the 3rd world jamboree. During the 21st world jamboree, car and caravan were brought together again at Gilwell Park. Together with 2 others, Michael formed a charity company with the aim of keeping the “Jam Roll” (the car) and “Eccles” (the Caravan) for Scouting. Michael was a Freemason and a member of Baden-Powell Lodge No 488 in Melbourne, Victoria. He was also master of this.

Marriage and Children

On 20 August 1966 he married Joan Phillips Berryman, they had tree sons
