In 1920, ''Det Danske Spejderkorps'' (DDS) was among the founding members of the [[World Organization of the Scout Movement|Boy Scouts' International Conference]]. The ''KFUM-Spejderne i Danmark'' (KFUM-S) gained an independent title of membership in 1924. In 1961, the World Scout Conference changed the statutes of WOSM requesting only one member per country.
