Scouting in West Virginia has a long history, from the 1910s to the present day, serving thousands of youth in programs that suit the environment in which they live.

There are nine Boy Scouts of America local councils in West Virginia. All of West Virginia lies within Central Region, except for Pendleton County, as part of Southern Region, and Grant, Mineral, Hardy, Hampshire, Morgan, Berkeley and Jefferson counties, as part of Northeast Region.

Girl Scouting in West Virginia
