On July 1, 2007 the three Girl Scout councils of North Dakota and the three in South Dakota will finish merging to form one council, Girl Scouts - Dakota Horizons, which will serve girls in both those states and in several counties in north-western Minnesota. The headquarters will be in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. See Scouting in South Dakota for more information on the new council.

There are three Girl Scout council offices in North Dakota.
