Camping next to the ocean is really cool opens up a wide range of aquatic activities. Most sites require advance registration.

  1. Fiesta Island Youth Aquatic Center - City of San Diego camp operates in partnership with San Diego-Imperial Council in Mission Bay.
  2. Oceanside Harbor Camping - Here is a fun scouting challenge - your campsite is limited to a parking space. Located next to the boat ramp and bait docks (where the noisy sea lions like to hangout). Harbor vendors have boat rentals and ocean whale watching and deep sea fishing tours.
  3. South Carlsbad State Beach - 2 mile long campground located on a bluff top directly overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
