Northeast Region (Boy Scouts of America)

From ScoutWiki, For Everyone, Everywhere involved with Scouting and Guiding...

Northeast Region is one of the four administrative regions of the Boy Scouts of America. It covers the states of Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Nebraska, Rhode Island, and Vermont and parts of Virginia, as well as the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. The other three regions are Southern, Western, and Central.[1] Each region is then subdivided into areas.

Each region has a volunteer president, assisted by volunteer officers and board members, and the day-to-day work of Scouting is managed by the regional director, assistant and associate regional directors, and area directors. Regions and areas are subdivisions of the National Council and do not have a corporate status separate from the BSA.[2]
