New Scout Welcome Kit (Boy Scouts of America)

Attached are official and sample customized documents to deliver to new scouting families at either your new family orientation night or later throughout the year:

  1. Coversheet (page one of the parent guide attached)
  2. Parent Guide printed file
  3. Cub Scout Pack location Rules
  4. Pack Policies & Guidelines
  5. All scout/family forms needed for the scouting year
  6. BSA Health forms (one per family member)
  7. Stack of Adult Applications: (Note: Online registration can be quicker and easier now).
  8. Stack of Youth Applications: (Note: Online registration can be quicker and easier now).
  9. Media Release Form
  10. "Getting to know you" form
  11. Parent Talent Survey :

Basic Supplies

Before launching your recruiting drive - stock up on these essential items.

  1. Update Unit BeAScout Pin: - During recruitment it will be easier to point new signups to the online registration link at BeAScout.org. Only a member of the Unit Key3 can edit this item, however, it should prominently display a email to your unit recruiter/new member coordinator. Also link it to a digital online recruitment flyer (using your website).
  2. Prepare Unit One-Sheet: one-page flyer about the unit, important contacts, annual calendar of events and unit goals (Ie "have fun").
