Mataguay International Camporee is a unique weekend event with participants from the United States, Mexico and other countries. The International Camporee will provide a venue and opportunity for Scouts from all over to meet each other and share their customs, traditions and scouting experiences. (This event is very popular for English and Spanish speaking scouts - bilingual staff operates this camp.)

All participants must be registered as members of a World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) Scouting program (eg. BSA, Asociatión de Scouts de México, Scouts Canada, Scouts Australia, etc.). All youth participants must be registered as youth in their respective scouting organizations. The leader of each contingent must be at least 21 years old and assistant contingent leaders must be at least 18 years old. All USA adult leaders attending the camporee must be registered with the BSA and have a current BSA Youth Protection Training certificate.

Activities

Activities likely at the Camporee will include swimming, rowing, canoeing, fishing, Scoutcrafts, nature, archery, rifle shooting, Scout games, challenge activities, and theme activities related to California and Camp Mataguay history. International guests will have opportunities to share songs, games and Scouting activities from their own countries. There will be no rank or merit badge work planned for this Camporee.
