Marin Council is a local council (#035) of the Boy Scouts of America located in the states of Southern California. It covers Marin.

History

One of the six councils that serves the San Francisco Bay area, the Marin Council was formed in 1910. In 1918 it absorbed the Mill Valley and Sausalito Councils. The Marin County's Scouting community was born just six months after the national Boy Scouts of America organization in 1910.

  1. Tamarancho Biking - The Marin Council operates Camp Tamarancho in the hills above Fairfax. We provide access to several excellent mountain biking trails on camp property in partnership with the Friends of Tamarancho.

Order of the Arrow

Talako Lodge - Order of the Arrow The Los Padres Council is served by this Order of the Arrow Lodge. The Order of the Arrow (OA) is the National Honor Society of the Boy Scouts of America for Boy Scouts, Venturers, and Scouters elected by their fellow Scouts according to OA membership requirements, and inducted into membership by an OA lodge.
