Log Cabin Wilderness Camp is wilderness adventure base operated by Greater Los Angeles Area Council and serves scouts from across Southern California.

Alongside the Clem C. Glass Memorial Eagles Nest and situated at an elevation of 10,000 feet above sea level in the Inyo National Forest. This is the base camp for the Greater Los Angeles Area Council High Adventure Summer Program.

Overview

The camp is located 320 miles from Los Angeles on the eastern slopes of the Sierra Nevada bordering the Hoover Wilderness and Yosemite National Park. Log Cabin is your Gateway to the Sierras and provides the ultimate in High Adventure through our High Country Gateway and Sierra Nevada Mountain Man Programs.

John Muir walked these very mountains on the Eastern side of Yosemite National Park and looked down 4000 feet below and called the Sierra Nevada's, "The Range of Light." Experience the same wonder of camping at 10,000 feet in elevation at the highest Scout Camp in America!
