Jamboree On The Air (aka JOTA) takes place annually every third weekend on October. In JOTA scouts and guides around the world communicate with each other using radio amateur contacts. First JOTA was arranged in 1958.

The JOTA radio stations are operated by licensed amateur radio operators. Operators help and advice scouts and guides of all ages to use the equipment and communication protocols.
