Humboldt is a district of Nevada Area Council (NAC) - Boy Scouts of America. It serves the communities of Winnemucca, Lovelock, and Battle Mountain. The Humboldt District is part of the oldest county in Nevada and is known for its beautiful landscapes. Scouts in this District practice community involvement and offer service to those in need.

Home to a melting pot of cultural identities, Humboldt District has created a culture that is one of a kind. Scouts here discover the unique elements of nature and build survival instincts in the process. They take care of the surrounding areas while fostering a strong bond with the outdoor lifestyle. District Roundtable

District Roundtable meets on the 2nd Thursday each month 7PM at ____. Roundtable provides supplemental training for volunteers at the unit level. The objectives of roundtables are to provide leaders with program ideas, information on policy and events, training opportunities, and an enhanced network of contacts and other resources while also providing unit leaders with a voice in formulating direction at the district level.

Chief Solano History

Sem-Yeto, christened Francisco Solano and also known as Chief Solano (1798–1851), was a famous leader of the Suisunes, a Patwin people of the Suisun Bay region of California. Chief Solano was a notable Native American leader in Alta California because of his alliance, friendship, and eventually the support of his entire tribe to General Mariano Guadalupe Vallejo of Sonoma, in military and political excursions around Sonoma County and the San Francisco Bay Area.
