Custard twister is a variation on the well-known twister game. Instead of colored circles on a large plastic mat, different colors of custard are used.

  • Preparation: 2 minutes
  • Material: 4 colours of custard, twister game
  • Duration: about 10 minutes
  • Age: minimal 7 years old

Make four rows of each six piles of custard. They act as the colored circles on the mat. Play the game now like the original twister game: Rotate the spinner of the twister game, and call the combination to the player whose turn it is (for example: right hand on chocolate custard). The players now have to put their right hand on chocolate custard. The last one not fallen, wins the game.

Nb.: This game is based on the way custard is sold in The Netherlands: as "vla" in various colors (and tastes), like orange (orange), vanilla (yellow), chocolate (brown) and blueberry (purple). As an alternative, you can use yoghurt or oatmeal and four different colors of food dyes, or whatever is convenient (and affordable) to you.

Variation

This game can also be played using pancakes as circles. Instead of colors, the topping of the pancakes (syrup, suger, marmelade, chocolate spread) determines the where to put your hand or foot. For instance: right hand on syrup
