Camp O'Rear is a 90-acre Scout camp of the Black Warrior Council ( BSA) located in Jasper. It is owned and operated by the Black Warrior Council as a primitive-style facility. Camp O'Rear is a beautiful facility and is one of the most diverse areas in terms of Alabama's wildlife and flora.

Camp O'Rear does have an newly refurbished dining hall building (with one large room, one small room, kitchen, fireplace, and bathrooms); a large pavilion area that sits close to the Black Water Creek; a swinging bridge; and plenty of areas for hiking, camping, and exploring.

Scout units are encouraged to take advantage of this wonderful outdoor area by completing a camp use permit just as you would for Camp Horne. Camp O'Rear is perfect for day or weekend activities - plan a visit soon!
