Camp Gorusch is now home to the largest camping program of the Great Alaska Council - Cub Scout camping! This camp is located on Mirror Lake and is part of the Rasmuson Scout Reservation. With options for day-camp or overnight resident camp, there's something for every Cub Scout and his family at Camp Gorsuch. Come join the fun!
Their program has been designed to offer Scouts a wide variety of fun, challenging opportunities to help them progress along the Trail to Eagle.

Alaska converts the Boy Scout camp in Chugiak into a Christmas lit village for the holidays!
The heart and soul of Christmas Towne, Alaska is to give families and children a venue to make treasured Christmas memories, annual traditions, and priceless experiences. Children can come and spend an hour making Santa's favorite Christmas treat with Mrs. Claus in the kitchen. Customizing their snickerdoodle cookies with a dozen specialty sugars from The Spice and Tea Exchange - favorites like raspberry, strawberry, or cocoa sugar! We also offer the opportunity to spend 30 minutes creating ornaments with Santa Claus himself! Spend quality time with those most cherished of holiday figures and capture the joy that radiates from your child!
This district is part of The Great Alaska Council, headquartered in Anchorage, Alaska, and serves over 16,000 youth members and volunteer leaders through Scout units in Southern Alaska. It is a local council (#610) of the Boy Scouts of America.
