First camping facility on West Point Lake in [[Scouting in Georgia| Georgia]], was dedicated to the memory of James G. Gallant on April 16, 1983 during the first spring camporee to be held on the property. A dream of Mr. Gallant and Abe Tipton, it has become a favorite short term camping facility with Scouts and Scouters through out the Council and has hosted numerous camporees, council events, and is home of the annual Freeze-O-Ree held on the fourth weekend of January. The camp consists of over 300 acres with 28 campsites and has bathroom facilities.
