The Barbados Boy Scouts Association, the national Scouting organization of Barbados, was founded in 1969, and became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1972. The boys only Barbados Boy Scouts Association has 2,472 members as of 2004.

Scouts of Barbados have a large, active Sea Scout program which is aided by the government and navy.

The program emphasis is on community service, nature conservation which includes tree planting, harvesting and beautification projects.

Scouting is most active in Bridgetown, the capital city and the surrounding areas.

Scouts are active in Caribbean activities and attend many camps and jamborees in neighboring Caribbean islands.
