Wente Scout Reservation (WSR) is a BSA Summer Camp located Mendocino County, California and is owned and operated by San Francisco Bay Area Council (SFBAC).


Wente Scout Reservation is a Nationally Accredited BSA Scout Camp owned and operated by the San Francisco Bay Area Council. Comprised of over 2100 acres of private property, Wente is one of the largest Scout Camps on the West Coast. Wente Scout Reservation offers a chance to hike, backpack, sail, mountain bike, fish, ridehorses, andgo rockclimbing all in one week. Scouts can try their hand at blackpowder musketfiring, kayakingandrappelling. Expert instruction in popular outdoorskillmeritbadgeswillmakethe Scoutcraft areacomealive. Wenteisrichinwildlifeandallows forthestudyof conservation,re-forestation,wildlifemanagement,woodcraftandnature study. Rifle, shotgun, and archery shooting are also popular activities. ThetallDouglasFir,Redwoods,Madronesandgoldenmeadowsspell adventureforthe Unitthatlikestoroughitandtesttheir skills. Our private80-acrelakeisagreatplaceforswimming,smallboatsailing, kayaking,andcanoeing,and itisconsideredoneof thewarmestlakesin thestate.Thelakealsooffers someprimefishin'withmanytrophybig mouth bass caught by both the expert and novice anglers alike. Wente also hosts three weekends of Familyvacation campingduringthe yearaswellasothercamping experiencesforCubScoutsandother organizations.
