Roaring Rogue District of the Crater Lake Council - Scouting America proudly serving the youth of Grants Pass in Southern Oregon.

District Roundtable

District Roundtable meets on the 2nd Thursday each month at ___. Roundtable provides supplemental training for volunteers at the unit level. The objectives of roundtables are to provide leaders with program ideas, information on policy and events, training opportunities, and an enhanced network of contacts and other resources while also providing unit leaders with a voice in formulating direction at the district level. Cub Scout Packs

Cub Scouts holds weekly activities for youth ages 6-10. Contact either the unit or it's sponsor to get more information back in 72 hours.


Boy Scout Troops

Boy Scouts- Weekly meetings / monthly outtings / annual summer adventure trips. Scouting builds life and leadership skills for boys ages 11-17. Contact either the unit or it's sponsor to get more information back in 72 hours.

Scout Camps

This council has 4 camp properties:

  • Camp Makualla - The council's historic Summer Camp & Hi-Adventure Base. It is located only 55 miles from Crater Lake N.P., it features both a traditional summer camp program and hi-adventure whitewater rafting, caving, mountain biking and several tall mountain hikes.
  • Camp McLoughlin - Cub Scout Resident Camps, it is located at Lake of the Woods near Klamath Falls
  • Camp Riggs - (AKA: Elk River Scout Camp) abandoned logging camp located in the redwoods near Eureka California.
  • Camp McCaleb - located in Southern Oregon, this 106 acre ranch is a hi-adventure base for Scuba diving a deep fresh-water gorge on the Illinois River.

This district was created by Crater Lake Council, providing scouting for much of Southern Oregon and Northern California. It is a local council (#491) of the Boy Scouts of America. All youth are invited to join scouting.
