Lesotho has 371 Scouts served by the Lesotho Scouts Association. Founded in 1936, it became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1971, and is at present a boys only organization.
As Lesotho is a small, mountainous country with difficult communication links, Scouting's growth is often difficult. Although the association is small, they have attended World Jamborees. One Scout participated in the 19th World Jamboree in Chile in 1998.
International Scouting units in Lesotho
- In addition, there are American Boy Scouts in Lesotho, serving as Lone Scouts linked to the Direct Service branch of the Boy Scouts of America, which supports units around the world.
