David Robert Baden-Powell, 5th Baron Baden-Powell

David (Robert) Baden-Powell (born in Melbourne, Australia, 1971) is the son of Michael Baden-Powell and Joan Berryman. He is the great-grandson of Robert Baden-Powell and Olave Baden-Powell. Education
David's secondary education was at Carey Baptist Grammar School in Victoria, Australia.
His Tertiary education was conducted at La Trobe University (BSc) and Swinburne University where he graduated with a Bachelor in Humanities (BA) with majors in Psychology, Sociology, Media, Politics and Economics.
Employment
David had been involved in information technology for his working career. Has worked in a variety of QA and Ontology roles across several companies in Melbourne including Sausage Software, Ocean Software, Tantalus Media and SEEK.
Marriage and Children
He married Edwina Sophie Foster in 2001. The couple have 2 children.
- Charlotte (Charley) Baden-Powell, born 2007.
- Maxwell (Max) Baden-Powell, born 2009. Heir presumptive to the Barony.
Scouting
David is a valued member of the Scouts Victoria, Australia, where he is a venturer leader at the 4th Brunswick scout group in the Melbourne suburb of Brunswick. His children are also members of the group.
In November 2025, it was announced that David would succeed Shane Jacobson as Chief Scout of Victoria.
He is a keen supporter of international scouting having attended numerous jamborees:

As a scout, he has recieved the following awards
- International Friendship Award from the Boy Scouts of the Philippines
- Jade Lion from the Boy Scouts of China (Taiwan)
