Are you a Adult Scout Leader looking to complete five Wood Badge tickets to promote Scouting? Please consider writing one or more Scouting themed articles on the ScoutWiki. Good luck with your Wood Badge training!
Sample Article
The biggest need we have is creating ScoutWiki online resources specific to each council (See List_of_BSA_Local_Councils):
- Update Council Home Article - Fairs, Camping, Service Projects, OA Lodge, etc (For a good example of council webpage article see: San Diego-Imperial Council, however, even this one has a bit yet to be done.
Here are some sample articles: (Blue links - article started / red links= Articles needing help)
- Local Scout Camp - Describe your favorite local Council Scout Camp (Ex: Mataquay Scout Camp or Camp Balboa). See also the List_of_BSA_Camps - many camp articles are incomplete!
- Local Scout Friendly Attraction - Ex: USS_Midway_Museum / Guajome County Park
- Update Hi Adventure Destination Article or Awards - Ex: Cleveland National Forest, Pacific Crest Trail, Mormon Battalion Trail, Palomar Mountain State Park.
- Article about Scouting Principles - ex: Trustworthy.
- Local Camping Directory - ex: San Diego County Parks.
- Heroes of Scouting - ex: Robert Baden-Powell
- Scouting Organizations - World Organization of the Scout Movement
- Scouting Awards - Silver Buffalo Award / 50-miler award
- Merit Badges -
- Cub Activities -
- Everything else Scouting related -
