To be honest, my experience with scouting ended the same day I drove away from my final stint as a Program Director at a BSA summer camp...with the exception of being tagged by the Harris people during the recent call for Eagles.  Seventy dollars or so later, I'm the proud owner of a hardback directory and a couple year's membership in the NSA.  But aside from that brief flurry of activity, I have to go back to my original claim to have no current involvement with scouting.

But ahhhhhhhhhhh...not so with the memories, which are etched so deeply in my memory that a mere glancing thought of those halcyon days of campouts, ceremonies, summer camp triggers an affective response in me that matches the response I had all those years ago!  With the schedule and commitments I have now, I doubt that I'll be able to return to scouting as a volunteer for several more years, but I anticipate a return someday.  Perhaps I can keep some sort of connection by being an active member of this community.  I hope to meet a number of other community members in the months and years to come!
