It was owned and operated by the Central Ohio Council. Leveque was split into two camps, Camp Buckeye and Camp Longhorn. both camps hosted summer camp programs until 1987, when Central Ohio Council merged with Licking County Council, and programs moved to Licking County's facility, Camp Falling Rock. The camp remained in service for year round programming and troop camping until 1999 when the camp was closed and sold.
