Camp Kern is a BSA Summer Camp located Kern County, California and is owned and operated by Southern Sierra Council (SSC).

Overview

At Camp Kern, Scouts experience a magnificent environment where they can create happy memories, develop interests and skills, experience personal growth, build friendships, and develop confidence; all while advancing in Scouting, learning, and thriving in our beautiful outdoor playground of Huntington Lake, California. Scouts spend quality time outside learning new skills and enjoying engaging outdoor adventures with new and old friends. Camp Kern is a place where Scouts experience a traditional summer camp life as Scouts have since 1939.

Southern Sierra Council

This district is part of The Southern Sierra Council (SSC), headquartered in Bakersfield, California, and serves youth members and volunteer leaders through Scout units Covers Kern, Inyo and Mono Counties. It is a local council (#030) of the Boy Scouts of America. All youth are invited to join scouting.
