Camp Josepho is a BSA Summer Camp located on Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area, California and is owned and operated by Western Los Angeles County Council (WLACC).
Traditional Summer Camp
Traditional Summer Camp registration includes the program areas of Ecology and Conservation, Scoutcraft, Shooting Sports, Aquatics, Handicraft. You can register as a Unit or camp with our Baden Powel Scout Program (Provisional). Geared to youth aged 10 ½ to 18.
Trainings
Range Saftey Officer training is offered throughout the year as well as OUTDOOR LEADER SKILLS (IOLS) and Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO) and National Youth Leadership Training the higest level of local council training available to Youth in the BSA.
California Excursions
California Excursions is a two week excursion that takes participants from the heights of the Sierra Nevada to the depths of the Pacific Ocean in a two week trip that takes advantage of the unique faucets of California that we enjoy at all three of our camps.
California Excursions is built to give Units the chance to experience all that California has to offer and includes a visit to all three of our Council’s camps: Emerald Bay, Whitsett, and Josepho over two. Scouts will also have the chance to explore world famous Santa Monica, visit a theme park and generally explore the City of Angels. Geared to youth aged 10 ½ to 21.
Webelos Summer Adventure
Webelos get to experience the many adventures of camp and get a taste of each of the different programs offered at Camp Josepho. Campers will have the opportunity to build robots, shoot BB guns, film movies, 3D print objects and expand their horizons during this unique program.
Cub Scouts
Bring your Cub Scout and the entire family for a weekend of outdoor activity, scouting advancement, and family bonding at beautiful Camp Josepho located locally in the Santa Monica Mountians. All siblings, parents, and Scouts are invited to share in this camp environment that fosters family fun and shared experience.
Western Los Angeles County Council
This district is part of The Western Los Angeles County Council (WLACC), headquartered in Van Nuys, California, and serves youth members and volunteer leaders through Scout units Covers Western and Northern Los Angeles County. It is a local council (#051) of the Boy Scouts of America. All youth are invited to join scouting.
