President's Scout rank (Singapore Scout Association): Difference between revisions

In 2000, Singapore Scout Association finally shedded the last influence of UK from its Venture Scout training scheme and badges by introducing its own three-stage progress and new badges. To gain the President's Scout Award, a Venture Scout must first gain the Venture Scout Standard in stage one, satisfying the requirements in eight designated areas; after which he would complete stage two requirements of the eight areas to be awarded with the [[Venture Scout Cord]] progress badge and eight [[Venture proficiency badge]]s. Holders of the Venture Scout Cord would wear a special leather thong on his/her left epaulette, akin to the [[Bushman's Thong]].
