Chumash Lodge #90, Order of the Arrow:

The Order of the Arrow (OA) is the National Honor Society of the Boy Scouts of America for Boy Scouts, Venturers, and Scouters elected by their fellow Scouts according to OA membership requirements, and inducted into membership by an OA lodge. The OA has been providing cheerful service to others through youth and adult OA members (known as "Arrowmen") in various lodges and councils throughout the USA since July 1915.

Lodge History

Chumash Lodge 90 serves the Scouts of the Los Padres Council covering Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties, California. The Lodge was formed in 1996 when Canalino Lodge 90 and Chumash Lodge 304 merged, after the merger of Mission Council and Santa Lucia Council in 1994, which formed the Los Padres Council.

Los Padres Council (LPC) (local council #053) of the Boy Scouts of America operates this scouting district. It serves a San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties of Southern California.

Council Camps

  1. Rancho Alegre - Primary camping facility of Los Padres Council. Includes Lifeguard Academy, Outdoor School and a complete scouting summer program. Open Year round, it is located in wooded oak foothills of the Santa Ynez Mountain Range of the Los Padres National Forest, at 2,000 feet elevation and covers 225 acres with areas having an inspiring view across the valley and Lake Cachuma.
